Kőröstej Ltd. was founded in 1991 and has since become Hungary’s largest cheese producer and one of the country’s most significant food exporters. Our team exceeds 1,000 employees.

Each year, we process over 110 million liters of high-quality milk sourced exclusively from Hungarian dairy farms at our facilities in Barcs, Hajdúböszörmény, and Kőröstetétlen, while our plant in Kacsóta, Baranya County, produces bulk cheeses. The company manufactures 40,000 tons of cheese annually, which corresponds to nearly half of Hungary’s total cheese consumption. Our annual revenue approaches HUF 40 billion.
